International Nurses Day on 12th of May

On occasion of the birthday of Florence Nightingale on 12 May 1820, the Nurses Day is celebrated each Year. Florence Nightingale established the modern Western nursing already 150 years ago, she has set standards for care and founded the first nursing school. Since then care has become an important social mission. But nevertheless nurses are still fighting for the appreciation they deserve. And also the improvement of the quality of care is still an issue that has to be worked on.

We make our contribution to the social appreciation of care and to the improvement of care quality with our age simulation suit GERT. By the self-experience of age- and illness-related impairments, everybody can get to know how important and necessary the support by caregivers is. And through the simulation the caregivers can further increase their empathy for those you need care.
