1st of October - Day of Older Persons

According to a resolution of the United Nations in 1990, since then the ”International Day of Older Persons” is celebrated on each 1st of October. The aim of this action day is to bring the challenges and opportunities of the demographic change into awareness of the world public. In addition, the "Day of Older Persons" shall highlight the accomplishments of the elderly and their benefit to the society.

With our age simulation suit GERT we make our contribution to the social appreciation of the older generation. By the self-experience of age-related changes, the necessity for the adaption of the living environment of the elderly persons to their needs will become understandable.
